Spanish exam BCLAD

Spanish ClassTeachers who are or want to be bilingual need to prepare themselves to obtain an advanced level of grammar, spelling, and fluency in Spanish. We have prepared a program for these teachers which will help them with the skills they need in order to receive BCLAD certification. To participate in this program, the student should have a basic knowledge of the language and its rules and also should be able to maintain a basic conversation. For the first three hours of class, students follow the general program using the appropriate books and material based on the results of the placement exam.

The program is divided in the following manner:

  • Pronunciation and spelling

The class material is in accordance with the student’s level on the placement test, and the class helps students with pronunciation, fluency, and spelling. Students learn and practice the rules of spelling, perform exercises in pronunciation to improve fluency, and increase vocabulary. The class utilizes the book that goes with the student’s level as well as additional material.

  • Grammar

In this class, students learn how to write correctly in Spanish, how to conjugate verbsSpanish Class in different tenses and utilize them correctly in conversation. Students learn the language with the help of grammar while at the same time focusing on the oral aspect of language acquisition, which is also very important. The program includes both oral and written exercises and utilizes various teaching strategies. The grammar class uses the book and extra material according to the student’s level obtained on the placement test.

  • Preparation for the BCLAD exam

Students review challenging aspects of grammar and practice vocabulary related to teaching.

  • Conversation (BCLAD)

The conversation class has themes related to education and fosters a better understanding of the culture of Mexico and Latin America. BCLAD conversation classes focus on aspects of grammar that are challenging for the student. In addition, students practice answering oral questions in order to improve listening and comprehension.
